FAQ's for Internet Banking:

1.) When I enter my user ID, it asks me a question instead of showing my image. I am caught in the loop of questions…..Why?

This is to help verify that it's really you signing in. There are several reasons why you might be challenged. These challenge questions are meant to keep imposters out because only you know the answers to these questions.
Some reasons might be:

  • You typed in the incorrect user id or you have not been set up yet
  • You are logging in from a different browser
  • Your token is missing from your computer because you cleared all the cookies on your computer or your cookie/token disappeared
  • You are logging in from a different computer

2.) What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can click the ‘Forgot Your Password’ link located under the Login button after you enter your user id. After you answer a security question, a new password will be emailed to you to the address we have on file.
You can also call Red Mountain Bank during regular business hours at 205-313-8100 or send an email to ops@redmountainbank.com after hours and on weekends.

3.) What is the purpose of the Passmark Authentication or the image I have to select?

Advanced Online Authentication adds extra layers of online security to prevent unauthorized access to your accounts and reinforces the fact that you are at our financial institution’s Internet Banking website. Advanced Online Authentication consists of the following: an image, a caption and three to six challenge questions. This information is known only to you and protects you, whether you are logging in to view your accounts from your own personal computer or another computer.

4.) Why is my “Current Balance” different from my "Available Funds”?

This could occur for one of the following reasons:

  • You may have made a deposit that has not fully cleared, and therefore the funds are not fully available for cash withdrawal.
  • You may have used your debit card for a purchase. When you complete a signature-based purchase with your debit card, the merchant places a pre-authorized hold on your available balance until the transaction fully clears (usually within three business days).
  • You have made a deposit or withdrew money at the banking center.
5.) How do I know I have been enrolled in internet banking?

For personal online banking, you will receive an email within 24 hours of completing the enrollment form online. For business clients, you will need to complete our business online banking application. You can call us at 205-313-8100 or email us at ops@redmountainbank.com to request this application. When your internet banking account has been set up, you will receive an email.

6.) How do I use Red Mountain Bank’s online bill pay service?

For personal clients, you need to complete the enrollment form available online and you will receive an email from CheckFree once you have been set up.

For business clients, you will need to complete the online enrollment form, print it out and send to Red Mountain Bank along with a voided check. We will then forward the application to CheckFree for you. You will then receive a letter and/or email when you have been set up.

For any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 205-313-8100 (during normal business hours) or email us at ops@redmountainbank.com after hours and on weekends.
